BRENDAN McCREARY
Brendan McCreary is a uber-talented musician. Genre-bending vocalist, dynamic performer, and amazing songwriter and producer, he’s a quadruple threat.
Brendan’s passion for music developed while he was growing up in Bellingham Washington, when he began playing the piano, saxophone, and guitar all while pursuing the craft of singing and songwriting. He grew up singing and playing music along side his older brother, acclaimed film and TV composer Bear McCreary.
In the years since, Brendan has collaborated and performed with a wide range of artists, contributing his talents to an impressive array of bands and project. He has written, produced and performed dozens of original songs including for SyFy’s Defiance, Battlestar Galactica, Godzilla King of the Monsters, The Walking Dead, The Serpent Queen, This Game’s Called Murder, and the forthcoming The 4:30 Movie from Kevin Smith, among others.
His most notable collaborations include:
• fronting Oingo Boingo Former Members (the reunited band from the 80s), and
• providing the singing voice of Freddie Mercury on the Emmy-nominated song “Totally Gay” from Netflix’s hit show Big Mouth.
• Singing an album of songs while collaborating with songwriter, Mike Stoller (one half of the legendary songwriting duo Leiber/Stoller, responsible for such hits as “Stand by Me” & "Hound Dog”) titled: Brendan McCreary Sings the Love Songs of Mike Stoller McCreary also co-produced the album with GRAMMY award-winning pianist John Beasley.
• co-writing and co-producing Bear McCreary’s debut solo album, an epic, double disc hard rock concept album called The Singularity.
• Releasing his own solo music, writing, performing, and producing under the monikers Young Beautiful in a Hurry, Crisis Couture, and McKian.
